About
The Math&Maroc SummerCamp is an engaging educational event organized by the Moroccan association Math&Maroc. The camp takes place during the summer and focuses on providing participants with interactive workshops in mathematics and computer science. It aims to promote interest and proficiency in these subjects among attendees, offering a mix of fun and learning in a vibrant, stimulating environment.
Design Process
I began by understanding the core values of the Math&Maroc association and the goals of the summer camp. The objective was to create a logo that balanced educational and fun elements. I chose a bold, playful font for "SUMMER CAMP" to grab attention and suggest a lively experience. Incorporating the sun, the waves and the infinity symbol into the design highlighted the camp's focus on mathematics and endless learning possibilities.
Color Choice
The primary color is a vibrant blue, chosen for its association with intelligence, wisdom, and trustworthiness. Blue evokes a sense of calm and stability, conducive to a learning environment. It also reflects the bright, clear skies of summer, tying in the seasonal theme. The consistent use of blue ensures a cohesive and visually appealing design.
Typography
The typography is bold and modern, making the text easily readable and eye-catching. The font conveys strength and reliability, essential for an educational initiative. Playful curves and rounded edges add a fun element, appropriate for a summer camp. It’s a customised “Extenda” font.
